I'm taking a vote- who thinks Iavar will get lost? XD
And this will likely be the last page for at least a little bit, since I'm on my way back to school on Tuesday. :/ Such is life. Now would also be the time when I complain about my inspiration not cooperating with my life, because last night when I went to bed, instead of being very sleepy (after two days of skiing and at least a week of being sick) I was hyper. And I have no idea why. But as I wondered why on earth I was so hyper, I started thinking about certain parts of Keepers of the Peace and realized again that a certain BIG thing is going to be happening (relatively) soon, and words cannot express how awesome that will be.
This page, though, was the page of nearly-forgetting. There were a lot of things I nearly forgot. Like Iavar's necklace-thingy, for one, and that last little half sentence of narration, for another, and that Shadow was riding a buckskin horse, for a third, and that Ori and Nic's unicorns have beards, for a fourth. Not to mention I almost forgot one or two steps in the actual process of making the page. And for a bit there I was wondering if I'd have a good enough light source to make things visible and still nighttime-ish, but then I remembered that this is 1) a fantasy comic and 2) the only other night scene didn't show what the moons look like. So I'm good. :) I've always liked scenes in fantasy stories where the sky is half-filled with this huge planet or moon or something, so... why not? (I don't remember if I've mentioned it before or not, but there are a total of 5 moons in KotP. The nights can get pretty bright, especially when all five are full.) Oh yes, and fireflies. I used to love spending summer nights watching/chasing fireflies when I was younger, although I feel like it's been forever since I've seen fireflies. Oh well.
Aw, a shame there will be a shortage of pages again, ah well. I probably always say this, but great expression/fluency/body language on these pages, also really liked the pacing on the last few pages, made good use of being able to see surrounding imagery.
XD I dont think Iavar will get lost, but I want to count how many times people will intentionally make him angry!
And that always happens to me if I'm ill/not allowed to move around, being stuck in bed for days just makes you want to do things even more :S
