This week's vote incentive- a screenshot of the Google Sketchup model of the citadel ground floor. Almost finished the entire model. I finally figured out Sketchup thanks to this video.

It's my birthday! So have two comic pages. :) I have now arrived at the magical number 20. :D I say magical for two reasons: first, because when I was younger and I imagined myself as a responsible adult doing things with my life, I would always imagine myself as 20; and second, because when I figured out roughly how much of my life my three graphic novels would take, I started counting at my 20th birthday. I have to admit, my life is looking a LOT more fun than I could imagine it years ago. As far as the comic goes, I'm officially starting to sketch the new Chapter 1 pages today. At least, I'm planning on it, but late Saturday night I ended up changing something in Chapter 1/Chapter 2, and I haven't had enough time to think it over and figure out what I want to change with the script. So once I figure that out I will begin sketching.
Aside from all that, the last week has been pretty interesting. Our church is hosting some Chinese students who are touring the States for the next few weeks, and my family is housing two of the chaperones. Right after they arrived, they gave us some gifts to thank us for housing us, and one of the things I got was a gorgeous red silk scarf. I've always wondered what the big deal about silk was, because every time I've been in a store and felt something made of silk, it didn't feel like anything special. Now I know better. That silk scarf feels as beautiful as it looks. Our guests also cooked us some real Chinese food yesterday, and while I STILL don't like sweet potatoes, the mushrooms they cooked were pretty amazing. Another thing that happened last week- I finally finished watching Avatar the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra. Holy cow, Korra is amazing. I loved Avatar, especially the last book (I think I watched most of it in one day), but Korra is so much epic.

This week's highlight: One Question. I'm pretty sure it's the first webcomic I started following, and it's still one of my favorites. I fell in love with the artist's drawing style years ago, and it has definitely influenced my own drawing. I would highly recommend you read the comic and check out the artist's deviantART account.

Ok. I have talked enough for now. Have a great day. I know I will. :D
