and this, dear readers, is why i love the fantasy genre so much! not only can i combine parts of my favorite landscapes (the east coast's green forests with the midwest's gorgeous Rocky Mountains), but also i can create completely imaginary characters! this guy, as i said in my last post, is my favorite KoP character to draw- so fun, in fact, that i took him from being a minor character and gave him a major part for no other reason! why do i like him? hmmm... probably b/c of the weird markings, wings, tail, and weird feet (human feet are mine enemy!!!) as well as other reasons, like his personality and backstory that you will find out about later.
thank you two for your comments- i always love hearing your opinions on the pages, Theorah! and Jedigal- i am currently doing everything on the computer, b/c i get too impatient to scan it, b/c it takes so long. however, if i get too frustrated with the computer, i may do the inking traditionally.
btw- if any of you out there have suggestions on how i can improve, mistakes i made, helpful hints, etc. i'm all ears. :)
in other news, i finished Hawthorne's "Scarlet Letter" for my American Lit class and am finally free to do other reading- current book is Hammett's "Maltese Falcon". MAJOR shift in writing styles there. and other than that, i'm miserably sick at the moment. that's why this is going up- i needed some art therapy.
hey- anyone notice this is page 13? going up on Friday the 13th? O.O glad i'm not superstitious.XD
0_0 This guy is so cool! I feel ;like I'm 13 again, getting excited about a cool looking creature with interesting feet! (the feet also got me more then anything, its like night crawler feet!!) Hes kind of intimidating though...
Maltese Falcon is really good! I havnt read the book, but I love the old film and the story is really exciting, you have to second guess the characters all the time! XD hehe I love gangster/detective stories
