well, because i couldn't for the life of me draw Kydi and Jovan for the originally planned pg 30, i drew a fight page instead and redid thumbnails for the rest of this scene so it would fit... and then proceeded to sketch out this page without consulting the aforementioned thumbnails. thus we have all the info that was going to be spread over several pages all on one. (i hope you can read the white words, they're kinda important. :P) i think it kinda came out looking like Kydi and Jovan are upset at each other, but they aren't. here is a pic i did of them dressed up in non-Ciudan clothes-- http://yubriassketchbook.smackjeeves.com/comics/622899/day-at-the-races/
it's been fun designing clothes and dialogue and body language to fit the character. and in case you were wondering, Diogo seems to believe that the bigger the sword, the better; and if you have a small sword(s) you're a weakling. those little thrusting swords can be quite quick and deadly tho....
now I think of her as quite smart and interesting! XD I love the body language in the second panel. also for future reference I have a bit of crit, I feel you mightve been better keeping to your original thumbnails, the speech at the bottom seems like it had alot of emotion, and it wouldve been nice to see Jovans expressions as he explains it, rather then having all the speech at once in one panel- also wouldve kept with the feel of the rest of the comic, where the reader is generally drawn in through the speech/characters.
Costume wise, I really like these two costumes particulary, they are very pretty. One fun thing about fantasy is how you can really have fun with pretty costumes :D These seem to show the high bloodline these guys come from ;)
